Look beyond the original front door

Choose an arrangement you can maintain
Discuss who will operate the alarm and who will be available if it activates while you are away. Ask about monitoring separately, including the response arrangements and ongoing charges. If an insurer has set requirements, provide them before the specification is accepted. At installation handover, practise the normal routine and ask how servicing is booked. A clear ownership plan matters as much as the initial equipment list.
