Choose the important points of access
For CCTV at a Welling home or business, identify the entrance, side route or delivery point you want to view. Explain what you need to see at each position. A camera that gives a wide overview may not provide the same detail as one planned around a doorway, so compare proposed views rather than quantities alone.
If the reason for enquiring is disappointing existing footage, say when the problem occurs. A blocked view, poor night image and difficult playback are different issues and should not automatically lead to the same equipment recommendation.
Consider normal obstructions and routes
Discuss parked vehicles, gates and lighting as they are used day to day. Tell us where equipment can be mounted and where the recorder and network connection can sit. Mention finished decoration, shared areas and any relevant restrictions before cable routes are settled.

Agree usable recording and access
Choose who manages the account and which people need viewing rights. Ask about storage, retrieving clips and any connection or subscription needed for remote features. At handover, practise finding an event rather than checking only the live image.
