Describe distances and separate areas
For CCTV at a Kent property, provide the postcode and explain the layout in practical terms. A main entrance, separate workshop and vehicle approach may each need a different view. State what you want to see at each point instead of assuming a single wide-angle camera will provide useful detail everywhere.
If the enquiry includes several sites, distinguish their requirements. A consistent user experience may be desirable, but equipment suitability, available connections and installation routes still need assessment at each premises.
Discuss recording and connectivity early
Tell us where power and internet are available and who manages them. Phone viewing should not be assumed to work independently of the connection and services chosen. Ask what is recorded locally, what remote features depend on and whether subscriptions are involved.
For wider outside areas, explain lighting, obstructions and access to mounting positions. General CCTV should not be represented as guaranteed number-plate recognition or complete coverage of every corner. Make any specialised outcome an explicit requirement for the team to assess.
